Ahmednagar Switchgear Works (ASW): A Cornerstone of Innovation and Sustainability
Established in 1984, ASW is India's largest electrical manufacturing facility, sprawling over 1.58 million square meters. As a vital part of our operations, it employs close to 3,000 individuals and accounts for half of our Electrical Standard Product sales, producing FDPs, Contactors & Relays, Starters, Controllers, BBT, SDF & COS, and Wiring Devices.
Our Ahmednagar campus boasts state-of-the-art production facilities for critical components like PMR, Electromagnets, Plating, and Brazing. It features cutting-edge quality labs, a product testing facility, and a Gurukul for workmen training. Environmental sustainability is paramount with a Sewage Treatment Plant (STP), Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP), and a rooftop solar system that generates 22% of our energy usage, aiming to increase to 50%.
The factory has garnered numerous accolades, including the Deming Award and TPM Excellence Award, underscoring our commitment to quality and community well-being.
